Love Birds

Decorating for Valentine’s Day seems somewhat silly until you have kids.  Marking the passage of time and seasons by celebrating as many holidays as possible is both fun and important in the lives of children.

I wanted to make stuffed bird ornaments for Christmas, but all of my crafting time was spent making gifts for the kids.  I figured why not make love birds for Valentine’s day?

With my Sunday child-free time this week, I popped in an Edith Piaf cd (La Vie en Rose seems quite fitting for love birds, n’est pas?) and drafted three versions of a bird pattern.  It’s still a work in progress though, and I’ll be sure to share when they’re done.
