Two Baby Slings
Monday, 6 July 2009
This week I spent my Sunday sewing time finishing up two baby slings. They are for my brother and his wife, who just had a baby girl in May, and my cousin and his wife, who are expecting a baby boy.
I love to sew for babies. Whenever I sew a baby sling, I like to think of the little baby that will be carried in it, and knowing the babies makes it even more special.
I only hope they will love wearing their babies as much as I do.

they are the best slings ever in the whole world. Kept me sane when number two came along. By far the most important mothering tool next to the boobs. (can I say boobs in a comment?)

Those are great. I’m expecting my first little one and I have been hunting for a light and lovely sling like those. I am sure they will be well appreciated.

beautiful slings!! what thoughtful gifts!
i was just looking at my sling the other day and thinking about what i might recycle it into. my “babies” are beyond their sling days but the memories that are wrapped in the fabric are just so special to me.

I ran into a lady in Target yetserday that had on an amazing baby sling. Being that I have been through five so far that I hated and returned – I asked her where she got hers, her daughter looked very comfortable, and she told me that it was from ‘the laughing monkey’ and was 7 years old. Do you make these for sale? I would love to buy one!
