::the beautiful straw ornaments a friend brought back from Finland years ago.

::the winterland scene that is too high for little hands to reach.  Made up of felt trees, a piece of muslin, a string of lights, handmade snowmen, a thrifted deer, pine cone elves and our Advent calendar.

::the pine cone elves The Bird and I made together, and the music box sleigh they ride in.  I picked up the sleigh at the Goodwill for $1.99.  It plays “Winter Wonderland.” (The elves are from this month’s Martha.)

::the Advent wreath I made, which sits on our dining room table.

::the Tomten I made, which sits on our winter nature table.  I am so in love with this book.  (I probably love the book more than the kids do.)
